HYBRID PLAY

One game. More than one room.

A story-based game does not require every guest to be physically present. With a host, screen share and clear rounds, remote relatives or teammates can join naturally.

People gathered around a personalized game

Built for real gatherings

Useful by design.
Personal by default.

Host shares the game

Use Zoom, Teams or another meeting platform to share the question or slideshow while the host keeps score.

Remote players need almost nothing

A phone, tablet or computer with the meeting link is enough. No separate app is required for the basic format.

Use verbal or chat answers

Teams can answer aloud, in chat or through a designated spokesperson depending on group size.

Best rounds for hybrid play

Who Said It, Most Likely To, Memory Matchup and team guessing rounds translate especially well.

Keep timing tight

Short rounds and a visible score prevent hybrid energy from dragging.

Your stories are the competitive advantage.

The game should sound like your people—not everybody else’s.

Hybrid without the technical headache

The host controls the complexity so guests do not have to.

A hybrid game works when the remote guest can understand the question, answer at roughly the same time as the room and hear the reveal. The simplest setup is one host computer connected to Zoom or Teams, with the host sharing the question while someone in the room keeps score. Remote players can answer verbally, in chat or through a team spokesperson.

For family gatherings, place one laptop or tablet where remote relatives can see the room rather than isolating them on a side screen. For workplace events, assign mixed in-person/remote teams so remote employees are part of the competition instead of a separate audience.

Keep rounds short

Hybrid energy drops faster when explanations run long. Use short rounds, visible scoring and clear turns. Save longer storytelling for the questions that genuinely produce a great memory. The technology should disappear into the background while the people remain the focus.
